Acceptable materials include; leaves, grass clippings, vegetable or other garden debris, shrubbery, brush or tree trimmings. Brush and tree trimmings should be no longer than 4′ and less than 2″ in diameter.

Residents may set out up to six 30-gallon paper yard waste bags, rigid reusable containers or bundles. Reusable containers should be clearly labeled to avoid being disposed of accidentally, "Yard Waste" stickers are available at the Village Office. Granger is not responsible for damage to non-commercial grade containers.

Unacceptable materials include; stumps, agriculture waste, animal waste, roots, sewage, sludge, or garbage.

Yard Waste in plastic bags will not be accepted.

Special Refuse Problems

Any problems or complaints arising from material  (yard waste, trash, or recycling) not being picked up should be called to the attention of Granger at (517) 372-2800 or www.grangernet.com.

The Village of Chesaning does not allow the burning of leaves and yard waste.
